Five Armies Day 3: Chumphon - Koh Samui

Heyya..

We left Chumphon at 10.00 in the morning after breakfast at the hotel's coffee house. All of us woke up late than usual as we planned our next destination is Koh Samui, Surat Thani. The journey took us nearly 250 km from Chumphon to Don Sak SeaTran Ferry Terminal.

As we rode on Route 41 southbound to Surat Thani, there were many stalls selling coconut jelly. These coconut jelly were served cold. It was very refreshing when riding in a hot weather.

We exited Route 41 heading to Route 44. The Route 44 connects Surat Thani and Krabi. It is a new highway and using the Route 44 can save travelling time between East and West Coast.

We reached SeaTran Ferry Terminal in Don Sak at 1.00 pm and while waiting for the ferry to arrive, we had our lunch at the ferry terminal.

Almost an hour later, the ferry arrived and the boys were so excited to ride into the vehicle docking bay. It was their first crossing their Harley Davidson bikes on a ferry to an island.

We reached Koh Samui at 3.00 pm and went to Chaweng area to check-in at hotel. Our hotel is located 50 meters from the beach. Changed our clothes and headed to Chaweng beach and watched the sunset.

For the dinner, i brought them to a muslim restaurant not far from Chaweng and within the walking distance from our hotel.

After dinner, we walked to Samui Walking Street and chillax at Raggae Bar..

On the next day, we spent the day exploring around Koh Samui.. Went to Hin Ta Hin Yai Rocks near Lamai.

The boys really enjoyed riding without wearing helmets. It is illegal but usually roadblocks happen during the evening.

Sun is up, time to hit the beach at Tong Ta Kien aka Silver Beach.. We spent couple of hours at the Silver Beach including full thai body massage.

The weather was hot.. it's time for coconut ice cream again. This time at the View Point near Chaweng.

I ordered Coconut Ice Cream with Caramalized Banana and Peanut toppings.

Later in the evening, we went to Harley Davidson Koh Samui which is located near Chaweng. It is easy to find the HD store as you are heading to View Point from Chaweng. The Samui HD shop also provides Harley Davidson bikes for rental.

This is where i bought my half-helmet aka helmet kura kura, Samui Harley Davidson t-shirts and lots of buffs for riding.

The lady in the photo below is the owner of the Harley shop. You can bargain most of the items and in the store, there are many collectible Harley accessories.

Overall, we had a great time at Koh Samui. They wanted to extend for another day on the island but we had to head to Hatyai on the next day.

Total distance we rode from Chumphon to Don Sak Ferry Terminal was 250 km. The ferry journey from Don Sak Seatran Ferry Terminal to Koh Samui took us nearly 1 hour. We took the chance to chillax on the air-cond Seatran ferry on comfortable sofa along with good food & beverages being served..
