I've done Mae Hong Son 1864 Corners for FIVE times

Heyya..

Mae Hong Son 1,864 Corners… speaking of the infamous “Thousand Corners” or technically “1,864 Corners”, I have successfully done it for FIVE times..

The First time I did solo in heavy monsoon rain with Kawasaki KLR 650 back in 2010. I did the solo ride without any guidance by my friends as back in those days, only few had done the thousands corners. I bought a road map and studied the Mae Hong Son 1864 Corners and emphasized on the towns I wanted to spend for a night.

The Second time I did was with BMW GS1200 Adventure 30 Years Anniversary but on this trip, I brought my friend, Lawrence, along as he wanted to experience what’s thousand corners fuss about..

For the Third time riding to the Thousand Corners, I rode Solo with the Harley Davidson Road Glide  after I sold the BMW GS Adventure.

The Fourth time, I brought my Harley buddy (Otai) to the Thousand Corners and China Border on our Harley Davidson  Road Glide and Road King. Apparently my buddy wanted to do thousand corners and visit Golden Triangle. Fortunately, i included China Border and Laos ride in the itinerary with our Harley bikes.

The Fifth time, a friend of mine Din aka Wadin BFull really wanted to experience the Mae Hong Son 1864 Corners but he does not own a big bike and had only short holidays. So i decided to guide him to Mae Hong Son from Chiang Mai by taking flights to Chiang Mai International Airport (CNX)and rented scooters. It took us only 5 days to enough to cover Chiang Mai - Pai - Mae Hong Son - Chiang Rai - Chiang Mai.

The scooters which we rented were Honda Click with 125cc EFI and cost only 200 Baht per bike / day from Chiang Mai Pop Rider.
