Short Weekend Break in Krabi, Thailand

Heyya…

A month after we got married, we decided to have a holiday with my wife’s friends in Krabi, Thailand.  There were 10 of us in this Krabi trip.

We got a great package deal from Air Asia which includes return air fare KUL - KBV - KUL and 4 days of accommodation at Sunda Resort at Ao Nang Krabi for only RM497 with tax.

We left on early Saturday morning to Krabi Airport (KBV) from KLIA2.

Once we arrived at Krabi Airport, we took a mini van to the Sunda Resort at Ao Nang for 890 Baht.

We rented scooters for 4 days and I really fancied with Honda Zoomer X as we could not get this model in Malaysia. Honda Zoomer X scooter costs us 550 Baht for 4 days. That’s a bargain.

On Sunday, we went for Island Hopping that consists of Koh Phak Bia, Koh Lao Lading, Koh Hong Lagoon and Koh Hong. The trip costs 550 Baht for a Long Tail boat but we were fortunate to ride on a Speed Boat for the price of long tail boat. We took the Speed Boat from Tha Lane Bay, North of Krabi. Tha Lane Bay is located 30 km from Ao Nang Beach. The island hopping tour includes a lunch meal on Koh Hong island.

  

 Later in the evening, we decided to ride to Krabi Night Market from Ao Nang. The ride on scooters took us nearly 30 minutes for a 23 km of distance from our hotel in Ao Nang.

On the next day, we hired a mini van to drive us to Sa Morakot (Emerald Pool). The Emerald Pool is located in Khlong Thom, Krabi, which is 70 km from Ao Nang Beach. The trip took us nearly 1 hour 20 minutes to reach the Emerald Pool. The ticket cost to enter the Emerald Pool is 200 Baht per person and from the ticketing booth, i would recommend you to take the longer trekking route (1,400 meters of distance) as you can see more of the scenery.

On the third and forth day, most of the time we were chilling out at Ao Nang beach with couple of body massages.

That’s how we spent our fun, crazy, quick and easy 4-day trip in Krabi with lovely close friends.
